On Saturday LFLF competed in their regional competition. They placed third with a score of 141.625 and will be competing at states.
On vault Emily Allor had the top score of 9.1 finishing in 4th place for division 1. Lauren Hayden had the next highest score of a 9.05 placing 4th in division 2. Sabra Robinson placed 6th with a score of a 9.0. Apryl Smith had the last highest score on vault.
Apryl Smith led bars with a career high of 8.725 placing 5th. Lauren Hayden had the next highest score of an 8.5. Emma Jump had the next highest score of an 8.225 and Sabra Robinson had the last counting score of 8.075.
On beam Lauren Hayden placed 1st with a 9.3. Ella Cox placed 2nd with a career high of 9.15. Apryl Smith had the next highest score of an 8.85 placing 7th, all in division 2. Emma Jump has the last counting score of an 8.75 placing in 5th for division 1.
On floor Ella Cox led with a 9.15 finishing in 7th place. Apryl Smith had the next highest score of a 9.075. Maty Temrowski and Sabra Robinson had the last 2 counting scores for floor.
Other highlights of the night include Lauren Hayden placing 1st for division 2 all around with a score of 35.675 and Apryl Smith placing third with a score of 35.525. Many girls also got career high scores including Brook Herbstreit on floor, Emma Jump on vault and Avery Miller and Maty Temrowski on bars.
The girls next meet will be states held at Rockford High School. Team states will be on Friday, March 8th and Individual states will be Saturday, March 9th. Wish the girls luck at their last meet of the season!
