What a battle from start to finish. Neither team would give an inch. Flushing started quick with a great opportunity in the 2nd minute, however, Fenton goalkeeper, Jordan Wensley stoned the Raider attacker to keep her out of the net. After 20 minutes of play the game was still scoreless. Then, an injured defender, Andrea Elsholz combined passes with Emma Hall on a sweet give and go around two Raider defenders near the 18 yard box and Andrea buried the ball in the side netting to give the Tigers the lead going into the half. In the second half Fenton struck quickly as Kiersten Hyder unselfishly gave up a great scoring opportunity for a better scoring opportunity for her teammate, Jillian Roberts. Jillian did not disappoint and gave Fenton a 2 goal lead early in the 2nd half. The game was far from over, however, the Fenton defense and Jordan Wensley shut out the Raiders down the stretch to earn a 2-0 victory.
