Henson’s Walk-off Gives Fenton Tigers Varsity Victory Over Hartland
Fenton Tigers Varsity seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off at the end of the game to topple Hartland. The game was tied at five with Fenton Tigers Varsity batting in the bottom of the seventh when Brock Henson was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.
Hartland fired up the offense in the first inning, when B Tome singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Brendan Alvord earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Fenton Tigers Varsity. He lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out nine and walking one.
McCarthy took the loss for Hartland. He lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing two hits and one run while striking out one and walking one.
Craven started the game for Hartland. He went six innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out five and walking one
Fenton Tigers Varsity racked up eight hits. Spencer Rivera and Logan Angel each had multiple hits for Fenton Tigers Varsity. Angel and Rivera each collected two hits to lead Fenton Tigers Varsity.
