Tigers Defeats Linden Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning
Despite allowing three runs in the sixth inning, Tigers defeated Linden 10-3 on Tuesday. Linden scored its runs on a double by McLaughlin.
Tigers secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the second inning. Tommy Adams, Logan Welch, Nolan Lawrence, Brock Henson, David Pietryga, and Brendan Alvord powered the big inning with RBIs.
Tigers fired up the offense in the second inning. An error scored one run for Tigers.
Grahm Staib pitched Tigers to victory. He allowed four hits and three runs over six innings, striking out three and walking one. Logan Benson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Miller took the loss for Linden. He went one and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on four hits, striking out three and walking zero.
Tigers racked up nine hits on the day. Jared Ryan, Pietryga, and Alvord all managed multiple hits for Tigers. Alvord, Pietryga, and Ryan each collected two hits to lead Tigers.
