The Fenton Freshman Baseball team started their season strong defeating Flushing 12-2 in six innings. Leading the charge on the defensive side was starting pitcher Jake Wohlfert who pitched four strong innings facing 20 total batters only allowing 2 hits and 1 run. He ended with 9 strikeouts and 4 base on balls. Camden Veres came in to relieve Jake throwing two strong innings facing 12 batters. Camden allowed 2 hits, had 3 strikeouts, 3 base on balls and gave up 1 run.
On the offensive side Dylan Davidson was 3-4 with 3 singles, 2 runs, and 3 RBI’s. Reid Luchenbill was 2-2 with a double and a single and 1 RBI. Jake Wohlfert finished 1-1 with a single and a walk. Wyatt Haiss was also 1-1 with a single and a walk. Camden Veres, Will Holmes, and Carter Frost all had a hit and 1 RBI.
