Game Recap

Angela Hanners pitched the complete game in tonight’s home opener loss to Davison. Hanners struck out 6 and allowed 5 earned runs, while going 2 for 4 from the plate with a run. Maddie Dunkel, Abby Sizemore, Addy Taylor and Ally Resa all contributed hits and Rachel Marshall logged a double and a run.

Game 2 was all Davison as Fenton worked out all 15 rostered players. Addy Taylor debuted on the mound and pitched well, giving up 9 hits. Fenton had 7 costly errors and only managed 4 hits in the nightcap. Highlights included a triple from Abby Sizemore and strong defensive play from 1st baseman Erica Behnfeldt and Anna Weigle splitting time at catcher and 2B.

Game Recap

In game one the girls met a tough match at the mound, but were able to get on base multiple times. Defense was strong against us. Kyla Lynch had a great night at bat with a triple and double. Kyla had a great catch at first. Brooke Whittaker pitched 3 complete innings striking out 5, Jordyn Bommersbach came into to relieve her in the 4th inning and finished out the game by putting the pitches in the zone. Hailey Blackwell was a wall playing catcher not allowing many balls past her.

In the second game the girls fell to the Mustangs, but had lots of fun. They met yet another tough match at the mound, but were able to reach the bases 10 times. Jordyn Bommersbach had a great run scoring our first run in the game. Lauren Miller had an awesome catch in Center field. The girls worked hard in this game. Jordyn, Brooke and Ella all had turns on the pitchers mound. Tatum LaClear had a great tag out on a pass ball at home.

Game Recap

Game Recap

The Heat played their toughest opponents of their young season as they hosted Waterford United. The teams played a physical and even first half that ended 8-8 but we couldn’t adjust to the continuous pressure that United applied in the second half. The Heat added 3 goals in the second while United found the back of the net 12 more times for a 20-11 victory. The Heat will travel to Rochester Adams on Friday and their record now stands at 3-3.

Fenton Tigers Varsity Jumps Out To Early Lead In Victory Over Lapeer

Fenton Tigers Varsity grabbed an early lead on its way to a 5-2 victory over Lapeer on Tuesday. Fenton Tigers Varsity scored on a fielder’s choice by Logan Benson in the second inning.
Fenton Tigers Varsity captured the lead in the second inning. Logan Benson hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring one run.
Troy Smigielski earned the win for Fenton Tigers Varsity. He threw six innings, giving up two runs, four hits, striking out five, and walking one. Blake Garrison recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Fenton Tigers Varsity. Masterson took the loss for Lapeer. He went five innings, giving up four runs, three hits, and striking out three.
Benson, Smigielski, Nolan Lawrence, and Chase Coselman each drove in one run to lead Fenton Tigers Varsity.
Lapeer collected six hits. Woloszyk and Rowley each collected multiple hits for Lapeer.
