Fenton Tigers Varsity Loses Lead Early in Defeat

Fenton Tigers Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 4-1 loss to Hartland on Saturday. Hartland scored on a groundout by DeLanoy, a single by Martin, and a groundout in the first inning.
Hartland took an early lead in the first inning. DeLanoy grounded out, scoring one run.
Hendricks earned the win for Hartland. He went seven innings, giving up one run, five hits, striking out ten, and walking zero. Blake Garrison took the loss for Fenton Tigers Varsity. He pitched seven innings, allowing four runs, five hits, striking out seven, and walking zero.
Nolan Lawrence led Fenton Tigers Varsity with one run batted in. He went 0-for-2 on the day.
Hartland had five hits in the game. McGrew and Martin each collected multiple hits for Hartland.
